The boys pictured have plenty to smile about after reaching the finals of the Primary Mathematics Association Nationwide Challenge.

From an original entry of 108,000 children back in November, 750 highest scoring children across the country were invited back to sit a Finals Challenge paper.

The Shrubbery School was very proud that four of its pupils were invited back to sit the Final Challenge.  Three boys narrowly missed out on winners’ medals and Matthew Elliot attained a silver medal.
Marvellous Mathematicians!

We are proud of our fund raising efforts this year.

Thank you parents and children.

Ofsted noted our ‘Outstanding’ spiritual, moral and cultural ethos and how our children are aware of the needs of others.

Autumn Term Harvest

The school raised over £900 to help an African village school with resources and re-building.

Christmas Bazaar Craft Stall

Every child in the school from Reception to Year 6 made a craft item for the stall.  The proceeds from the stall was split equally between St Giles Hospice and Cancer research UK.

Spring Term

The Spring Term saw our Barnardos Appeal reach over £2000!  Children were asked to decorate a polystyrene egg and then were sponsored to care for it for a week.

Some of their innovative designs are shown here.

Djembe Drums

As part of  the Year 6 African project in Geography lessons, children enjoyed a day of Djembe drumming!  After mastering the technique the Year 6 children performed for the Junior School.

Founders Day

Each year we hold a competition for our Founders Day.  This year our theme was ‘Our School’.  Children had to interpret the theme through art work, writing, poetry, brochures or model making.  Here are some of our entries.
