The Shrubbery School is a family orientated school where every child matters and your child is valued as an individual. We aim at all times to keep our children safe, secure and happy. For working parents we can provide a before school facility and and independent after school club also runs on the site providing a range of activities.

Your child's safety around school is carefully monitored and regular risk assessments are undertaken.

The quality of your child's education is assessed termly and the school is subject to Ofsted Inspections, parents are more than welcome to examine the Ofsted reports, (follow the link on this website).

Parents are welcome to examine the school's policies which are available in the office.

The Shrubbery School was founded in 1930 by Miss Janice Rankin. It is the longest established fully co-educational school for three to eleven year olds in the area, and presently has 285 children on roll. The school is set in the leafy suburbs and enjoys very pleasant surroundings.

We are proud that we have continued to provide a traditional education for over seventy years. This traditional education, now combined with the best modern teaching is conducted within a caring, quietly disciplined environment. Any visitor to our school will be aware of the ethos we promote; school work is valued and is enjoyable. Our mission statement is clear, 'We are committed to providing a happy and caring environment in which all children are encouraged to reach their full potential', we achieve this by evaluating every child and teaching in small class groups where individual attention is guaranteed.
