| The teaching of ICT begins at the age of three when Nursery and Reception children have one to one tuition in basic computer skills. Once children join the Infant Department, they are taught in our networked ICT room, which is fully resourced with up-to-date equipment, software and teaching/learning support materials. At Infant level, concepts taught in the classroom are consolidated and presented in a different format on the computer. | ||
| At Junior level each child has their own e-mail address and lessons on using the Internet for research purposes are given. Internet safety issues are examined and reinforced at regular intervals. By the time our pupils leave us in Year 6 they will have the skills and confidence required to use ICT appropriately and effectively. Throughout the school cross- curricular links with all subjects and in particular numeracy and literacy are encouraged to support the children's learning. | | |
| ICT is also fully integrated into our curriculum with interactive whiteboards in every classroom. | ||
