Shrubs Club
Shrubs Club is a separate care facility run on site.
We have established an after-school care service for children who attend The Shrubbery School.  This is run by members of the school teaching, and dinner staff.  The hours are as follows:-

            Infants/Nursery/Reception           3.45 – 4.45 pm                        4.45 – 5.45 pm
            Juniors                                               4.00 – 5.00 pm                        5.00 – 5.45 pm


The club is held in the Nursery and Reception rooms.  Children are allowed out in the playground and on the field, weather permitting, under supervision.

There are activities such as games, craft, toys, TV, books, crayon artwork, board games and a quiet area where children can do their homework and read.

We provide a cold drink and a biscuit but children can bring a packed tea if they wish – all containers to be labelled “Tea” and with the child’s name, so that they may be removed from the child and put in the refrigerator.

The club is open during term time only.

The current fee is £3.00 per session for registered members.  There is a registration fee of £3.75 per child, £5.75 per family, payable at the beginning of each term.  Once sessions have been booked they must be paid for in advance half-termly.  We do not give refunds/reductions for illness or holidays and members need to book sessions half-termly in advance in order for us to maintain a correct staffing ratio.

The club finishes promptly at 5.45 pm.  For every quarter of an hour after 5.45pm there is a surcharge of £10.

The scheme may be joined at any time during the term if there are places available.

We require a half-term’s notice if you wish to leave the club.

If a place is not available, we will advise you and ask if you wish your child’s name to be placed on a waiting list.

Casual places may be available for non-registered members – check with School Office first.  These will be charged at £3.75 per session.
